Congratulations to our Stylist of the Month for June Angela! Angela is a Stylist at our Fuquay, NC salon. We wanted to ask her a few questions about her and her time at Lady Jane’s!

LJ: What is your favorite part about cutting hair at LJ?

Stylist: My coworkers are awesome! My clients are awesome! I look forward to coming to work every day, and that's huge in this business.

LJ: Favorite sports team and why?

Stylist: Detroit Lions! I've been a diehard Lions fan since the Joey Harrington and Jon Kitna days, it will always be the Lions for me. I can't wait for next season- Let's goooo!!

LJ: What type of music do you listen to?

Stylist: Everything! My playlist spans all decades and genres. I always apologize for my music because it'll go from praise music to hard rock to oldies to rap. I listen to just about everything.

LJ: What hobbies do you enjoy in your free time?

Stylist: I'm an outdoors kind of girl. My days off are typically divided between the beach and the mountains. One week I'll be chasing waterfalls and good hiking trails, and the next week I'll be relaxing at the beach with my toes in the sand, soaking up every bit of sunshine.

LJ: Clippers or scissors?

Stylist: Both! They each have a purpose; some people's perfect haircut is precision scissor work, while others prefer a super clean fade.

LJ: What’s your favorite LJ product to use?

Stylist: Tea Tree Hair and Body Moisturizer will forever be my go-to product. It doesn't have a hold, but it does have a smoothing factor that leaves the hair shiny and healthy. It's so versatile that I can even use it in beards for lasting softness. Plus, it's antibacterial, antimicrobial, and antifungal- it's the perfect product!

LJ: 10-second pitch on why LJ is the only place for a guy to get a haircut…

Stylist: We have some of the best stylists that I've ever had the pleasure of working with. They do fantastic cuts, colors, razor shaves, beards- everything you need, we do!

LJ: What is your motto to live by?

Stylist: Be the light in a dim world! We need more love in this world, be the love the world needs.

LJ: What made you want to be a cosmetologist?

Stylist: I knew I'd be doing hair since I was 13. My friend and I found her mom's black box dye and decided to color her hair; she hated me after that. Stylists will understand that joke, it's not easy to get out after it's in. Thirty years later, I now know how to fix that problem, but 13-year-old me learned a big lesson. That moment started a lifetime love of making people feel their absolute best.
