Congratulations to our Stylist of the Month for September Mel Keith! Mel is a stylist at Toledo-Monroe salon. We wanted to ask her a few questions about her and her time at Lady Jane’s!

LJ: Favorite part about cutting hair at LJ?

Everyday is a different, and so is every customer. That gives me the opportunity to challenge myself into becoming a better stylist.

LJ: Favorite sports team and why?

Sports Team, Why? Washington Nationals, As a DMV native I'm always rooting for my home team. Proud to say were 2019 world series Champs .

LJ: What type of music do you listen to?

Music My music taste is all over the place and changes with my mood. One minute it can be 90s R&B, the next 2000s Pop. I think music can be transformative and therapeutic, so I try not to limit myself to one genre.

LJ: What hobbies do you enjoy in your free time?

Hobbies I enjoy traveling exploring different cultures, arts, music, and food. I find these experiences help me diversify and expand in my own creativity.

LJ: Clippers or scissors?

Clippers. It's something about a crispy bald fade.

LJ: What’s your favorite LJ product to use?

LJ: What is your motto to live by?

YOLO; you only live once. Because not only is Drake one of my favorite music artist and that song will always be a banger, but I meet a lot of people who are hesitant to make decisions based of what other people may think and my opinion is that you are the only person in control of your happiness. So get that haircut, bleach your hair. Do what makes you feel good.
