Stylist of the Month
Congratulations to our Stylist of the Month for August, Charece! She's a stylist at our Livonia, Michigan salon. We wanted to ask her a few questions about her and her time at Lady Jane’s.
LJ: Favorite part about cutting hair at LJ?
CHARECE: Meeting a lot of people, ones who work for LJ and all the clients. Plus, you can work around your life, however much you want that to be.
LJ: Favorite sports team and why?
CHARECE: Michigan Wolverines football, I grew up watching them and for a few years I was lucky enough to have season tickets, and the games were so much fun. The energy there is awesome.
LJ: What type of music do you listen to?
CHARECE: Pretty much everything! It depends on my mood at the time.
LJ: What hobbies do you enjoy in your free time?
CHARECE: When I do get free time I like to shop, watch movies and cook...Being a Mom kinda consumes my free time right now, but that’s ok :)
LJ: Clippers or scissors?
CHARECE: Scissors, they add way more texture and versatility to a haircut, but clippers are great for shorter, cleaner looks.
LJ: What’s you favorite LJ product to use?
CHARECE: BedHead Matte Wax but the American Crew Matte Clay is a close second.
LJ: 10 second pitch on why LJ is the only place for a guy to get a haircut…
CHARECE: We’re tailored to men’s haircuts, it’s pretty much all we do everyday...so we’re great at it. Plus we’re a fun group of ladies!
LJ: Favorite thing about working at LJ?
CHARECE: They initially bring the clients to you, so the advertisements help when you first start here. Also if you’re wanting to move up or start over in another state or location, you can do that too :)
LJ: What is your motto to live by?
CHARECE: Life is about 10% what gets thrown at you, and 90% the choices you make or how you react to it. You just have to keep going, try to stay positive, and work it out.
LJ: What made you want to be a cosmetologist?
CHARECE: The desire to make people feel better about themselves.
