Here's our Stylist of the Month for February! We sat down with Maddilyn Sweeney from Darien, IL to learn more about her.

LJ: As a Wicked Awesome STYLIST, what's your favorite part about cutting hair at LJ?

MADDILYN: My favorite part I love is the sporty environment & I love the clients that come in new or not, we always have good conversation

LJ: Since sports is such a large part of the LJ experience, what's your favorite sports team & why?

MADDILYN: My favorite sports team is the Bears! I love watching football every Sunday! I even won my fantasy football last year!

LJ: What type of music do you listen to?

MADDILYN: I like all types of music, I prefer rap & oldies & classic rock!

LJ: What do you enjoy?

MADDILYN: I love to do yoga! It helps me disconnect from my busy lifestyle.

LJ: Scissor cuts or clipper cuts?

MADDILYN: I like both! Depends on the kind of technique I would like to use.

LJ: What is your favorite LJ product for guys to use?

MADDILYN: Bed head manipulator matte, it's easy to work with & has a great hold.

LJ: What's your 10 second pitch on why LJ is the ONLY place for a guy to get his hair cut?

MADDILYN: LJ is the only place for a guy to get a haircut because of the experience! Not only do we have a great staff, but what we offer & how we are with our clients shows just how much we care!

LJ: If you had a motto to live by, what would it be and why?

MADDILYN: Go for it!! No matter how it ends, it was an experience! Don't be scared to take risks because you might end up loving something you never knew!!

LJ: What lead you to become a cosmetologist?

MADDILYN: I always loved to do hair & make up, so i went to cosmetology school to make that happen, once I was in the field I realized my passion was with men's hair instead of women's
