Congratulations to our Stylist of the Month for July, Alexandria! Alexandria is the manager at our Blacksburg, VA location. We wanted to ask her a few questions about her and her time at Lady Jane’s.

LJ: Favorite part about cutting hair at LJ?

ALEXANDRIA: I have been thriving as a stylist since working at Lady Jane’s. Not only with my technical skills, but also with communicating with my clients. Lady Jane’s brought me growth!

LJ: Favorite sports team and why?

ALEXANDRIA: My favorite team is the Los Angeles Lakers. There’s something fun about a Lakers basketball game. I love the Hollywood atmosphere their team brings to the games and they’re historically one of the best franchises in the NBA.

LJ: What type of music do you listen to?

ALEXANDRIA: Any motivating or uplifting music will always have me in such a great mood regardless of the genre.

LJ: What hobbies do you enjoy in your free time?

ALEXANDRIA: Most of my free time is spent being super social. I’m rarely without something to do. I love working out and being active. I try to move my body in some form every day, it puts me in such a positive mindset.

LJ: Clippers or scissors?

ALEXANDRIA: Clippers are my go-to. My favorite cut to do is a skin fade!

LJ: What’s your favorite LJ product to use?

ALEXANDRIA: American Crew Fiber Cream rocks! It’s a product you can use for so many different styles, it has the perfect hold while still being a workable product. It’s easy for my guys to use!

LJ: 10-second pitch on why LJ is the only place for a guy to get a haircut…

ALEXANDRIA: The experience you can get at Lady Jane’s is hands down unlike any other shop. Our clients return because they get an awesome haircut along with an atmosphere designed specifically for men. What reason would anyone have to not walk into a Lady Jane’s? It’s awesome!

LJ: What is your motto to live by?

ALEXANDRIA: Be a light. Spread positivity with each interaction you encounter, always!

LJ: What made you want to be a cosmetologist?

ALEXANDRIA: It was something I always considered before going to school, however, I never could’ve imagined finding a career that I was so passionate about. I was made for this industry.
