Stylist of the Month
Congratulations to our Stylist of the Month for September Courtney, Courtney is a Stylist at our Washington Twp, MI salon. We wanted to ask her a few questions about her and her time at Lady Jane’s!
LJ: Favorite part about cutting hair at LJ?
Stylist: I love the environment, my clients always know when they come in, it’s going to be a good time. I love that working at Lady Janes, I, also feel valued even though this is a huge company.
LJ: Favorite sports team and why?
Stylist: Detroit Lions, who doesn’t love a come back, plus it’s football. The team’s colors aren’t bad either.
LJ: What type of music do you listen to?
Stylist: Anything with a good beat that gives you dancing feet, but mostly country and hip hop/pop.
LJ: What hobbies do you enjoy in your free time?
Stylist: I enjoy dancing, walking my dogs, anything with my friends!
LJ: Clippers or scissors and why?
Stylist: I enjoy clipper cuts more, I feel like I can really show my talent that way.
LJ: What’s your favorite LJ product to use?
Stylist: the Joico sea salt spray blow dried in the hair to give the style some grit, and finish off with either matte clay or matte separation to finish the look.
LJ: 10-second pitch on why LJ is the only place for a guy to get a Haircut…
Stylist: not only will you get an amazing cut, you’re surrounded by great girls who make the environment one you want to keep coming back too! We make you feel like family!
LJ: What is your motto to live by?
Stylist: I have a few but here are my top two favorites. “It can’t rain all the time.” & “My dad would always say if we said "I can't", that "Can’t didn’t try hard enough!”
LJ: What made you want to be a cosmetologist?
Stylist: I have always wanted to make people feel great about how they look. I grew up leaving hair salons crying because I never got what I wanted, so I wanted to make sure I could be that stylist who listens and does what the client wants. Plus I’ve always been talkative, so what better career path to choose?
