Our Charities

Wicked Awesome Wishes

While we’ve been afforded so many blessings in life, we truly believe that we have a higher purpose: to give back. We could have easily given money to already-established causes, but it wouldn’t have given us the personal interaction we desire. With this principle in mind, we created Wicked Awesome Wishes as a means of giving back, setting out to establish a charity like no other. We consider WAW an honest-to-goodness, well-intentioned, non-profit organization based on the idea that charity is supposed to support the community of people who are in need and that helps people directly. People — down-to-earth, real people — helped us build our business and our livelihood. It is those people, often blue collar Detroiters, who form the basis of all we do. That’s why we formed our charity to support any individual in need and make their wishes come true.

Cleveland Holiday Adventure x Wicked Awesome Wishes

On Saturday, December 7th the Wicked Awesome Wishes team traveled to the IX Center in Cleveland to meet up with the Northeast chapter of the A Kid Again foundation for their annual Holiday Adventure. Taking place at the sprawling event center there was plenty of space for the over 2,500 participants and volunteers who were able to take part in a variety of activities, including some great food that was generously donated. Not only was Wicked Awesome Wishes able to provide financial support toward the Holiday Adventure, but members of the WAW team along with Lady Jane's were able to help work Santa's Corner where a fifty yard line of kids and families waited throughout the day to meet Santa and give him their Wish lists. After setting up, we were able to give some of the kids temporary festive tattoos like snowmen, reindeer or various princesses, and there was even a Buddy the Elf sighting who got all the impatient kids in line excited to meet Santa!

A Kid Again works with families and kids with life threatening disabilities, so getting to be active and have a fun day in a special and safe environment was such a special time. We were able to get involved in many of the inflatable games like basketball, soccer, golf, axe throwing, and taking a walk down the holiday themed candy cane forest. Seeing the joy on all the kids' faces who have gone through so much in their young lives made all the hard work and effort worth it.
